Like our Kyle Vanden Bosch interview a couple of weeks ago, we stopped NFL vet Tim Shaw after a workout to talk about this experiences with different strength & conditioning coaches, philosophies and workouts. Tim has a unique perspective on S & C because of the diverse programs he’s been involved with.
Tim started lifting in high school before having the opportunity to workout with Penn State strength coach John Thomas for five years. Since then, he’s played for four different teams with very different programs including the Titans, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears. Not too many people have had the variety in programming that Tim has seen, so coaches can certainly learn a lot from listening a guy like this talk about his experiences. Tim is the kind of guy who mixes seriousness with jokes, and this segment is no different.
